On Friday night we helped out by serving coffee at our church's Christmas musical coffee house. Afterwards a group of us went down to Helios for some....coffee.....go figure.

On Thursday night we went to the Jingle Ball, a Toy-raiser in downtown Raleigh at the Marbles Museum. Your "ticket" in is a toy worth a certain amount and then its a big party/dance for the evening. We went to Cafe Luna for dinner before hand (one of my favorite restaurants).

On Sunday night we surprised Bryan for her birthday with a small party at Jason and Becca's house and then with tickets to the Shane & Shane concert. What a fun evening!

On October 16, 2008 Lily Ruth Horton was born. It was so nice because she was born as I was pulling into Raleigh for a visit home. I got to visit Suzanne, Aaron and Lily in the hospital for a little bit. She is such a cutie pie.

NC State Fair 2008

I made a trip to NC for the NC State Fair (my 11th year in a row) and a wedding. It rained almost the entire night of the fair and was very cold as well but I love the state fair so I had a great time. Here are a bunch of pictures (mostly of eating fried stuff) from the night.

September 25-27, 2008
The last weekend in September my friend Su-Anne came up to Philly to visit. She and her aunt and her aunt best friend went to some Gardens and Ikea during the day while I had to work and then we went out each night. The first night I took Su-Anne to Continental, one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. On Saturday we "toured" Philly, including a lunch stop at Geno's, one of the famous Cheesesteak places in Philly.

I took a trip home to NC for the weekend and got to attend my friends Becca and Jason's wedding shower. It was a really fun place to have a shower....a little island in the middle of a lake at Pullen Park. Here are a few pictures from the event.
